Daring Bakers: “Frasier”

I really need to stop trying to do these in individual-size portions. They never quite come out looking right. This one is especially unfortunate in that I made it at the last minute so the photo you see is it still chilling in cling wrap before being turned out. But the cake tastes good and the pastry cream tastes good and cherries are ALWAYS good, so I think the flavor should be fine. Still, this is one I’m pulling back out when it’s strawberry season so I can actually make a real Frasier.

Blog-checking lines: Jana of Cherry Tea Cakes was our July Daring Bakers’ host and she challenges us to make Fresh Frasiers inspired by recipes written by Elisabeth M. Prueitt and Chad Robertson in the beautiful cookbook Tartine.

Great job on your frasier! The good thing about doing individual portions is that your portion is what you get. Unlike me, who cuts herself a GIANT slice, haha.
