Daring Bakers: Mon Petit Chou

DSC02013I’m back! at least sort of…I realized I really needed to get back on top of my DB challenges, and this month was an easy old favorite: choux pastry. I’ve loved making my own cream puffs since I was a kid, but in this instance I branched out a teensy bit and filled them with chocolate pastry cream instead of vanilla. They came out a little sweet, but still made a hit at the potluck I took them to!

Blog-checking lines: Kat of The Bobwhites was our August 2012 Daring Baker hostess who inspired us to have fun in creating pate a choux shapes, filled with crème patisserie or Chantilly cream. We were encouraged to create swans or any shape we wanted and to go crazy with filling flavors allowing our creativity to go wild!
